Were there any notable or amusing stories surrounding the production of the single?

The idea behind 'A Million Yellow Flowers' came as he was driving back to Los Angeles from San Francisco. It was late spring — months before the heat would begin to suffocate all of the plants. The hills were coated in beautiful waves of yellow that come from invasive wild fennel flowers. When he did the same drive a month later the dried hills were dead and closely resembled a camel's hump. It's all just a series of fleeting moments.

The theme of both songs is transformation.

Nuclear Tsunami is the production project of Joey F. He writes the music, arranges, and performs all of the instruments, produces each song, and also does the mixing. He is a guitarist first and heavily makes use of his fingerpicking acoustic guitar style.

Nuclear Tsunami draws most of his songwriting influence from folk and country music like Bob Dylan and Townes Van Zandt. His production influence arrives from the indie-lofi side of things. Artists like Sparklehorse, Bon Iver, and Ratatat have a huge sonic influence on the production and mixing of each track.
